How's your Christmas in the Tropics? December is a rainy season but surprisingly it wasn't raining on Christmas eve and Christmas Day! Or perhaps it did but at least not at the East side. The weather was beautiful, bright and windy over here.

It's Christmastime! We all love the jolly season, don't we? Lots of food, shopping, gifts and beautiful lighting.
2012 is a blessing year for us. We received tons of small gifts from colleagues and friends, Fendi pouch from my boss, expensive champagne, good whiskey and wine from company, a good company Christmas lunch at a French restaurant and a happy gathering with family. What more can we ask for this Christmas?

I had made some goodness chocolate early this year for some dearies as Valentine's time pressies. Those chocolate require tempering and I tell you hell lots patience is needed. Chocolate have to temper at the right temperature and allow to cool to the right temperature. Any higher or lower will affect the end result.

Hubby has fever and tonsil infection (tonsillitis) for several days, antibiotics and medication doesn't seem to fight the virus.
His body is burning high especially in the night, and this can be quite worrying. I took a day off and bring him to another doctor and was advise to go A&E for stronger medication as his tonsil are badly inflamed and swollen. Man can be quite stubborn, even he is seriously ill, he refuse to go A&E as he felt is not beyond cure (yet).

Sunday is always my favourite day of the week, because it's family day! Even we are not catching the latest movie in the cinema, shopping at the newest mall, having a meal at a hip cafe, still is a happy Sunday. Even be a couch potato all day long, its the moment that we are spending together that make it a wonderful day, don't you agree?
We have too much of bread lately and decided to have something different. And I thought, crepes will be lovely, isn't it? The thin and delicate pancakes can be filled with virtually anything!

This recipe is a fool cheat. Its easy, fast, non-bake, take less than 8mins preparing, and only require about 2 hours of chilling.

This is similar to the Luscious Chocolate Mousse Cake that I had made for Father's Day last year. I use a different sponge recipe that is light, less chocolaty and more moist.
Hazel's (Aimakan) birthday is just around the corner, and since we are having a lunch party at Ellena's (Cuisine Paradise) house, I decided to make a birthday cake for her. Haven't been baking a whole cake for a good damn 1-year, I have to admit that my baking skill has turn a tad rusty. Over judging the baking timing, the supposedly moist cake turn out a tad dry, but lucky still soft.

We have received Gold Kili White Coffee and White Milk Tea and some Frezfruta jams from Lion City. At the same time, hubby is crying for something sweet, and with the limited ingredients I had left at home, I thought of making a milk tea cake topped with apple blueberry jam. The nice fragrant tea compliment the sweet apple blueberries.

Lately I have heard some rumors saying our soya beancurd is classify as "low class" food and not allowed to be bring to the Diner en Blanc held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. How sad!
Well, whatever it is, I am proud to be a Singaporean, I like singlish, and I definitely loves all the local delights from hawker centre and coffee shop. Call it cheap, call it low class, who cares?

My husband has a voracious appetite at times, he loves sweet stuff and likes to snack at home when he is not working. I didn't stock up the ingredients as I haven't been baking for quite sometime. But I do have lots of chocolate, 4 blocks of cream cheese (why am I not surprise?) and 2 bottle of peanut butter. Hmm, can't remember what I was planning to do with the peanut butter. Anyway that's how peanut butter brownie came along...
This easy brownie is fudgy, moist in the middle with a chewy outer crust, all with a nutty flavour. The saltyness of the peanut butter compliments the sweetness of the chocolate superbly. Be warn, they are very rich, and moreish.
