- The Shop
Taipei Station opened its first outlet in Singapore at Bugis+ (formerly known as Iluma) in July 2012.

They serves popular Taiwanese street snacks such as Oyster Rice Vermicelli, Braised Pork Rice, Crispy Taiwan Tempura, and many others. The all-time-favourite Crispy Chicken comes in original, cheese and wasabi flavour. Taipei Station also serves bubble tea to go along with the yummy Taiwanese snacks!

The recipes, food & beverage preparation equipment, spices and seasoning and the premium tea leaves and pearl are specially from Taiwan, how authentic can it be?

- The Food
Honey Oolong Milk Tea with Pearl @ S$2.80

The full flavor of Oolong tea pairs well with slightly sweeter honey. You can reduce the sugar level just like any bubble tea shop.

Main Dish
Original Crispy Chicken @ S$4.50

The marinated and coated in seasoned flour chicken was succulent. Crispy but not overly cook till is tough and dry. The amount of seasoning powder was just nice.

Wasabi Crispy Chicken @ S$4.50

Same as the original except it was season with wasabi. Wasabi was mild, it will be nice if it was spread more evenly as half of the serving didn't have the wasabi seasoning.

Cheese Crispy Chicken @ S$4.50

The first bite remind me of Cheezels! If you like the snack food - cheese ring, you will love the cheese seasoning.

Cold Noodle with Peanut Sauce (Spicy/Non Spicy) @ S$4.50

A hint of sesame oil compliments the flavor of the peanut sauce in this satisfying cold noodle. The unique combination somehow has a beautiful marriage.

Oyster Rice Vermicelli @ S$4.90

The mee sua (vermicelli) was less starchy compare to most, but also lighter in taste. Perfect with chilli.

Braised Pork with Rice @ S$4.90

Lo ba bung (Taiwanese language for braised pork rice) is not as flavourful as I expected. More sauce and stronger taste will definitely bring out the fragrant.

All the tempuras are pretty standard, not much of a different from the rest that I tried before. But you can spice up the flavour by asking for seaweed, plum, wasabi or cheese seasoning. I likes the plum and cheese. Strangely, the plum seasoning taste really good with the sweet potato fries.


- My Opinion
The dining table is a little small and cramp. Unless you are seated near the wall, the long tables are not suitable for people who is bigger in size.

Food was pretty decent and pricing is cheap. If you have craving for XXL Crispy Chicken, Taipei Station will be a good choice. The chicken is less greasy, succulent, and not overwhelm with seasoning powder. Plus there are seats for you to enjoy your food.
