Black Forest Hot Chocolate @ $6.50 (Xmas Promo)
GJC's signature Hot Chocolate with a twist. The drink contains their signature creamy hot cocoa blended together with black forest syrup to give a thick aroma of chocolate and the lingering sweetness of cherry.
Unlike the usual chocolatey chocolate drink, it has cherry fragrant with a tad of sweetness. It's like having a black forest cake!
Black Forest Chocolate Chiller @ $6.80 (Xmas Promo)
Black forest chocolate chiller is a wonderful combination of rich sweet ground chocolate, vanilla flavors and black forest syrup. It is generously doused with chocolate powder and topped with their signature strawberry puree.
Similar to the hot drink above, but lesser chocolate and stronger cherry taste.
Pecan Pecan @ $5.90
From savory to sweet, delicious combination of buttery crisp pastry and a rich, dense with chewy filling that is loaded with toasted pecans.
Gloria's Mocha Cheese Cake
It's not the perfect mocha cheesecake but good consistency. A sweet crust base with creamy chocolate and coffee filling.
Raspberry Cheese Cake @ $5.90
Surprisingly the decadent raspberry cheese cake is more rich and creamy than the rest of the cheese cake they are serving. The pretty swirl Cheesecake will be a lovely dessert for a crowd of cheesy cake lover.
Royal Truffle Cake @ $5.90
The Royal Truffle Cake is another personal favourite, absolutely divine! Moist, creamy and chocolaty.
Minty Chocolate Cake @ $5.90
Soft chocolate sponge, cream minty layer, and a chocolate glaze is deliciously refreshing.
O' New York Cheese Cake @ $5.90
The New York Cheese Cake on the other hand was a tad dry, less rich and dense compare to the other cakes.
Toasted Mushroom Pepper Puff @ $4.50
Toasted Curry Chicken Puff @ $4.50
Toasted Tunaish Puff @ $4.50
Golden puff pastry are filled with an appetizing mushroom/curry chicken/tuna to make these sweet and savory delights. Best eaten while hot.
Lemon Meringue @ $5.50
The sweet pastry crust, lemon curd filling, and billows of meringue was another of my favourite. It is supremely light, squashy and fragrant with lemons, Mmmm...
Carrot Cake @ $4.30
The Carrot Cake is moist and flavorful with grated carrots and is frosted with a delicious cream cheese frosting. A tad sweet for my liking thou.
Strawberry Lamington @ $2.50 (available in chocolate flavour)
Little square sponge cakes coated in coconut. Can't really taste the strawberry but the sponge cake was spongy soft.
Assorted Xmas Cookies @ $6.00 | Gingerbread @ $3.50
Christmas goodies and log cakes are also available till 31 December 2012.
- My Opinion
My impression of cakes from cafe are usually sweeter and dry. But surprisingly the cakes at Gloria Jean's Coffees are better than what I expected. They are less sweet compare to most cafe.
