Toast Box unveils a newly launched promotional menu in conjunction with efforts to raise funds for ABLE - Abilities beyond Limitations and Expectations Ltd, a charity organization that strives to enable and empower the physically challenged community to be reintegrated into the main stream society in Singapore.

From 1 Aug - 30 Sep 2012, Toast Box's "LIM KOPI for a Cause" Campaign hopes to generate S$20,000 of funds that will go towards financing ABLE assistance programs, beneficiaries with acquired or congenital physical (motor) disabilities as well as their families and caregivers.

We were invited to Toast Box Marina Bay Sand to try the promotional menu for the fund raising and other dishes from the regular menu.

Toast Box gives back S$0.30 towards raising funds for ABLE with the sale of every set in this selection; all of which diners would enjoy promotional prices for this period at all Toast Box outlet island wide.

New: Kumquat Jelly Drink

The sweet-tart Kumquat fruit is tangy and refreshing with chewy jelly bits. A perfect drink to beat the summer heat or as a cleaning palate after a sumptuous meal.

New: French Toast Butter Kaya

A beautiful combination of traditional egg-battered french toast with kaya and melting spread in between.

New: Hebi Hiam Thick Toast

The new hebi hiam is less spicy and a tad sweet. Served in generous portions atop the signature thick toast.

Curry Chicken

Flavourful and mildly spicy curry, served with tender chicken and large chunks of potatoes. This long heralded signature dish was simmered in a crock pot over hours, no wonder the chicken was so tender. Opt for a bowl of steamed fragrant rice or freshly grilled thick toast to dunk in the thick gravy.

The fishball hor fun soup was very old school. It was topped with Chinese preserved vegetables (tung chai). The soup was favourful, hor fun cooked to perfection, fishball bouncy and juicy, what else can you ask? Simplicity is translated into pure bliss!

Fried Fish Soup with Bee Hoon/Rice @ $6.20 a la carte, $7.40 set (available at Marina Bay Sands only)

3 big piece of fried fish was succulent and fresh, however soup was on a lighter taste.

- My Opinion
It doesn't take much effort or trouble to donate. You can eat your favourite toast, have a cup of freshly brew coffee or chill over glass kumquat jelly drink and helps to donate money at the same time, isn't that so convenience?
