Bask in the view of beautiful flamingos while dining at the al fresco restaurant and be delighted by the cheeky antics and intelligence of the parrots (which unfortunately I forget to take a photo of flamingos!).

I started off with the flavourful and creamy laksa.

The sweet corn soup has carrot, sweet corn and pork ribs. I thought it will be quite bland but it taste just like our home cooked!

Picking up recycle paper and cup to drop it in the recycle bin. How clever!

What is lunch at Songbird Terrace without having a picture with the parrot!

Incubation Rooms - Eggs are kept snug and warm in incubators to ensure that the embryos develop well.

Nursery - Newly hatched chicks are place in brooders where the temperatures and humidity are controlled to ensure the chicks grow well. The brooders are also sound proof.

Feed me! - Bird keepers play 'bird nannies' to hand-feed chicks every two to three thours throughout the day.

Weaning Room - Chicks from the nursery are transferred to this weaning aviary when they reach 3-4 months old. Here, they are weaned off hand-feeding and given solid food.

From the quiet world of their brooders, they are now introduced to the sights and sounds of other birds. Once they are 7-8 months old, they will join their own kind in the exhibits around the Park.

Last but not least, 3 humans was "hatched" at The Breeding & Research Centre! Sorry, they don't stay at Jurong Bird Park as they are "rare visitors", however you might catch them some where, some day, out there...
