- The Shop
In celebration of Singapore’s 47th birthday, Feast@East Buffet Restaurant showcases an impressive array of local hawker galore that have been heralded as the nation’s must-eat signatures from 3rd - 31st August 2012.

The restaurant was festooned with buntings and small flags, full of National Day spirit.

Vintage and nostalgic decoration evokes the warmth and fondness of the 70s, 80s.

Whet up your appetite at the popular ‘live’ cooking stations as chefs whip up Oyster Omelette, Popiah, Carrot Cake or Singaporeans affectionately Char kway teow.

Make sure to try the Durian Paste & Durian Cake at the dessert station and make your own dessert such as ice-kacang using the old fashion shaved-ice machine.

They also serves old-school knick-knacks such as Haw flakes, and many more varieties. One is never too old for a childhood memory.

- The Food
Lunch buffet don't have a wide selection of seafood but they are reasonably fresh.

Seafood chowder soup was light in favour and less creamy and thick than the usual chowder soup.

The clear herbal black chicken soup has a mild yet detectable herbal taste.

Steam pork, braised beancurd with mushroom, steam fish teo chew style, braised pork intestines, mixed seafood, stir fried veggie,stir fried beef in xo sauce and steam tiger prawn with garlic & ginger.

The staff dressing up in the 70s at the 'live' cooking station to whip up a plate hokkien mee, laksa and porridge.

The signature Singapore laksa gravy is not cloyingly rich yet pack with flavour. Top with tau pok, fish cakes, bean sprout and cockles.

The paste was thick, creamy, rich and sweet. Its so fresh that you can find durain fiber in it!

The cake is light and fluffy, not overly sweet.

- My Opinion
The menu selection at the buffet and live station varies everyday. For Laksa lovers and Durian fans, these two items are always available to spoil your taste buds!
