- The Food
Classic Eggs Benedict @ $17.00
(Served with coffee/tea until 11am daily, add juice at $2 per serving until 11am)
The dish offers a terrific combination of flavors and textures. Two beautiful poached egg & spheres over scrumptious layers of slightly crisp and flaky toasted Vienna. Topped with chicken ham, lime vinaigrette mesclun, and a smooth glorious blanket of Hollandaise sauce. Egg lovers, expect overwhelming adulation - with a side of adoration.
Tuna Nicoise @ $19.00
Colourful mixed salad topped with yellow-fin tuna loin coated with sesame and dressed with tangy lemon lime vinaigrette. Packed with baby potatoes, hard boiled egg, cherry tomato, raw onion & haricot vert, this salad makes a really hearty meal.
Seafood Velvet Soup @ $9.50
The lively flavor of peach compote perks up the rich, creamy soup accented with flavors of the sea. Completes with a whole scallops and crusty cheese toast. Deliciously decadent!
Steak Sandwich @ $19.50
Thin sheets of Australian grass fed sirloin with mesclun & gherkins topped with caramelized onion, roasted pepper & horseradish mayonnaise. The sirloin had a nice subtle taste by itself, with a nice zesty hint of horseradish taste. It will be a perfect open-faced sandwich if the sirloin is more juicy and tender.
Sirloin Steak @ $24.00 (200g)
The tender succulent sirloin steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare). Packed with rich flavours of gravy along with sauteed greens in garlic rosemary sauce. It will be more inviting if the sauce is less salty.
Seafood Wrapped in Cartoccio @ $26.00
Al dente fettuccine served in a rich spicy tomato sauce accompanied with juice spiny lobster, scallops & blue mussel wrapped in parchment paper. Not only the presentation was impressive, it also brought very dominate flavor to the palate.
Black ink @ $26.50
Squid ink spaghetti with New Zealand littleneck clams tossed in extra virgin olive oil.
Classic Affogato @ $5.40
The dessert has a classic simplicity and characterised by its distinct. Generous scoops of creamy ice-cream drowned in the elegant espresso.
Cherry Clafouti @ $10.00
The custard-like dessert consist of sweet cherries, serve warm from the oven with a dusting of powdered sugar. This desserts is a tad too sweet for my liking but it will definitely leaves a sweet ending to any meal.
Bread & Butter Pudding @ $9.00
The pudding had a little burnt crust, which gave it a toasty aroma and a fantastically crisp top. Sink your teeth slowly into the fluffy spongey inside, and its custard cream was sweet without being cloying. It will be heaven if the pudding is drenched with a copious amount of ice cream...
Yogurt Parfait @ $7.00
The wholesome combination creamy yogurt layered with crunchy granola, topped with plump peaches and banana not only look appealing, it is a healthy choice of dessert too!
- My Opinion
As a HALAL restaurant, I felt the food is reasonably good for the price we are paying for. The dishes are well presented and most importantly the price are affordable.
We heard they are opening two more restaurants in Singapore, which brings to a total of 4 under the Beanstro brand. Head to their web site to check out more information.
